Concept Manager
A revolutionary new tool to detect content, compliance violations, and acceptable use policy (AUP) violations or breaches and in the fight against spam, Concept Manager provides truly intelligent filtering for content and spam protection. By focusing on the meaning of an email and its attachments rather than just specific words or phrases, Concept Manager can detect concepts such as confidential material, NPI, broker privileged, inappropriate content, or spam concepts with a much higher degree of consistency, accuracy and reliability. Once triggered, the message identified can then be deleted, quarantined, categorized, forwarded to another user for review, archived or handled by a variety of other means by SecurExchange's Smart Action Trigger technology.
Using "fuzzy logic" to find camouflaged patterns and natural language recognition to determine the entire context of a message, Concept Manager can:
- Detect and filter information leaks and inappropriate email with greater reliability;
- Determine which concepts are present in a message, giving greater confidence of internal and outgoing email communications
- Register fewer "false positives" and other errors;
and
- Separate the junk and chatter mail from the real mail with much higher consistency and accuracy
Basically, Concept Manager uses a set of information concepts or categories - such as "confidential material", "competitor", "sales figures", and "unsolicited advertising". Each concept is defined by a sophisticated set of phrases, patterns and complex relations that allow SecurExchange to look at the entire context of the email and its attachments rather than just individual words or phrases, including:
- Placement of words within the email or attachments
- Dictionary and thesaurus matching
- Prefix, suffix, plural, and tense stripping
- Embedded links, footers, headers, summary information
- HTML trickery
- And much more
The result is complete content protection for your Exchange Server environment that can make more intelligent decisions about what are information leaks - and what isn't - by understanding what an email actually says, rather than just the words it uses to say it. Simple keywords and key phrases just won't cut it, unless you know "exactly" how your employees are writing.
