How do I delete an email that has a mass mailer type virus contained within?

The Nemx Anti-Virus component or Nemx SecurExchange product must be installed for this method to work.

Enable the Message Text Filtering section:

1. On the Content Filtering tab in the Message Text Filtering section, enable Message Text Filter

Define a rule to handle messages containing Nemx's virus infected message:

1. On the Content Filtering tab in the Message Text Filtering section, click Rules
2. Click Add

A particular virus (i.e. netsky virus):

1. In the Rule field, type

   the message contained * infected with the netsky.* virus

A mass mailer virus (i.e. bagle virus):

1. In the Rule field, type

   the message contained * infected with the *.mm * virus

2. In the Action list, select Delete Message
3. In the Direction section, select Inbound and Outbound (inbound and outbound through the SMTP/IMS), and/or Private and Public (internal from mailbox to mailbox)
4. Enable Active
5. Click Ok
6. Click Apply
