How do I delete an email that has an empty subject or body?
When a spammer is interrogating your Exchange Server, empty emails may be generated as a result. To delete these emails:
Define a rule to handle messages containing no subject:
On the Spam Manager tab in the Subject Filtering section, click Rules
Click Add
In the Subject field, type
=^$
In the Action list, select Delete Message
In the Direction section, select Inbound and Outbound (inbound and outbound through the SMTP/IMS), and/or Private and Public (internal from mailbox to mailbox)
Enable Active
Click Ok
Click Apply
Define a rule to handle messages containing no message body:
On the Content Manager tab in the Message Text Filtering section, click Rules
Click Add
In the Message Body field, type
<empty>
In the Action list, select Delete Message
In the Direction section, select Inbound and Outbound (inbound and outbound through the SMTP/IMS), and/or Private and Public (internal from mailbox to mailbox)
Enable Active
Click Ok
Click Apply
