Content Manager uses SURBL databases to filter email based on the URLs found within the message body. SURBL differ from standard RBLs in that they use the location of links and web images within the message to perform their analysis, rather than the sending SMTP host address. In other words SURBLs are use to trigger on messages based on the spam domain links and images that occur in their message bodies.
SURBLs are collaborative in nature and once a web site has been confirmed to be related to spamming and entered into the database, then future emails which contain that link or image will be triggered by Content Manager.
